2021 Crockett

An intense hue of opaque purple in the glass, this blend displays blackberry, blueberry, cassis, anise, sandalwood, bbq spices, vanilla and smoked meats on the nose. Crockett carries great weight, texture and length on the palate, suggesting that it will age well at least 15 years from vintage date. Concentrated flavors of red plum, tobacco, earth, black cherry, dark chocolate, vanilla, clove and blueberry. 

Pair this dynamic wine with a filet mignon and you'll have the makings for a perfect evening!

In 1954, the first episode of Davy Crockett debuted on the Disney television show. No one could have predicted the indelible impact this series would have on American popular culture. Few other characters have embodied our country's most cherished traits of integrity, ingenuity and a penchant for doing what is right the way Davy Crockett did. In portraying this character, Fess Parker's acting career was launched and the young man from West Texas soon captured the hearts and minds of Americans in an enduring manner that has yet to be replicated. 

In 2010 Fess Parker's incredible life came to an end at the age of 85.  While family & friends miss him dearly, we all know we are better off for the time we spent with him. The Fess Parker family remains committed to carrying on the vision and lessons passed on by Fess. In this spirit, we offer Crockett.  Simply put, this wine represents the best of each vintage from our estate, Rodney’s Vineyard! Enjoy
